Since its inception in 1983, Durango Rivertrippers & Adventure Tours has been providing top-notch whitewater rafting and adventure experiences in the Four Corners region, including areas around Durango, Telluride in Colorado, and Moab in Utah. The company holds permits for rafting on numerous rivers such as New Mexico's Rio Chama, Colorado's Piedra River near Pagosa Springs, The Dolores River, San Miguel near Telluride, Ruby Horse Thief in Grand Junction, West Water Canyon in Utah, and both the upper and lower sections of the renowned Animas River in Durango/Silverton, Colorado.

Mesa Verde National Park

Mesa Verde National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular national parks in the United States. It is located in southwestern Colorado and is home to over 600 cliff dwellings, which were built by the Ancestral Pueblo people between 600 and 1300 AD. The cliff dwellings are some of the most well-preserved archaeological sites in the world and offer a unique glimpse into the lives of these ancient people.

Durango Riverside Resort has a variety of wildlife in the area, including black bears, raccoons, coyotes, mountain lions, lynx, crows, magpies and more!
We ask all our guests to be BEAR AWARE. This means leaving trash inside—except during trash pick up times—and keeping all pet food inside.

Bar D Chuckwagon

The Bar D Chuckwagon Supper Show in Durango offers family entertainment with an old west music and comedy stage show flair. Enjoy a home-cooked barbecue or steak supper and an Old West Cowboy Music Show. The Bar D Wranglers perform songs from the Old West cowboys, comedy, and lively instrumentals after supper to entertain the whole family. Check it out just minutes from our campground.
